The Process Of Making A Twitter Header The Pencil Pirate Way
The biggest space we have to express our artistic creativity in our Twitter bio is our header.
The last time I changed mine was about half a year ago. I did not really know what my message was. How can the banner represent the value that I am offering to someone visiting my page?
It dawned on me, you gotta do it yourself!
So today, I got it done. And it was sooo much fun!
How did I get from blank canvas to new banner?
1. Get in the car, open Otter and start recording your thoughts
(Tell the baby that daddy is busy being creative and please do not interrupt the recording!)
2. Outline what it is you are tweeting about. Why should someone invite you on to their timeline?
3. Distill thoughts down to the essentials + what visual would suit best?
And it daunt on me:
Tweeting to you from Scotland, choosing my own ingredients and distilling it down to the most potent essence.
For me, I am embracing what drives me. Then put it through my filters for Twitter, which is: becoming a better writer, grow my audience and open up new opportunities for myself.
But it is not about me.
I am on this journey, this pursuit. But the biggest happiness for me comes from sharing and helping others along. So that’s what you get from me, my most helpful finds, thoughts and tools.
Check out the new header and let me know what you think.
